Introduction
The forthcoming Kumbhamela
will be the first Kumbhamela of 21st Century. It is expected
that around Two Iakh Sadhus & Saints & twenty five lakhs pilgrims
and worshippers converge to celebrate the occasion of main parvani
days. To meet the demand of increased traffic, communication infrastructure
facilities like roads, bridges, flyovers etc. will have
to be developed in time. Also to accommodate sadhus & pilgrims
for holy dips along the bank of the river Godavari, facilities
on festive route, like construction of Ghats, concreting of uneven
bed of river and other allied works will have to be taken-up in
hand.
