It is proposed to construct new ghat between Devi-Sandwa and Rokdaba Sandwa and to concrete the river bed up to Talkuteshwar Bridge. It is also proposed to develop reservations shown in development plan for parking, open space, public utility places, vegetable markets etc. in Panchavati area around various pilgrim centres.

b) Construction of Shahi Marg from Gadge Maharaj Bridge to Godavari Patangan.

c) Development of Pedestrian Access from Left & Right Sides of Ahilayabai Holkar Bridge to the Holy Stretch.
Today there is no access from Ahilyabal Holkar Bridge to the Ramkund. Hence people come to the holy stretch from Gadge Maharaj Bridge or Ramsetu Bridge. This creates a lot of congestion. To divert the flow of pedestrians and to decongest the area, two separate footpaths have been proposed from both the sides of the Holkar Bridge.

d) Development of Parking Area near Ramkund
The existing parking area houses all categories of vehicles right from cycles to tourist buses. The tourist buses misuse the parking area for cooking and as toilets. This, in turn, is disposed in the Gopikabai Tas which directly flows to Ramkund. Hence to avoid this source of pollution and to decongest the area, reorganisation of parking taking advantage of the existing topography, is proposed. At the same time, shifting of the heavy vehicular parking on the downstream of Gadge Maharaj Bridge is also proposed.

e) Arrangement for providing treated water supply for Ramkund.
Today Ramkund contains stagnated water between the period of two irrigation rotation. The gap between two irrigation rotation is 1 month. The waterstagnationfora period of one month results in decay of the floating and other matter. The alternate day cleaning of Ramkund helps in removal of decaying material but not the aeration. The proposed arrangement will provide treated water to Ramkund.

f) Extension to Ramkund.
In Kumbhamela the holiest spot is Ramkund where Godavari river takes its bend southwards. The water of Ramkund and Trimbak are always sacred as per Puranas. But in the Sinhastha year its water is said to have special purifying power So many pilgrims from all over the country come to take holy dip in Ramkund and the existing Ramkund is very small to accommodate the huge number of pilgrims. Thus the extension of Ramkund is proposed towards south. The extended Ramkund admeasures approximately 68m x 25m where the existing Ramkund admeasures only about 28m x 13.5m. Thus the total 2078 Sq.Mtr. area will be available to take "SHAHI SNAN".

g) Development of new Ghata from Devi Sandwa to Talkuteshwar Sandwa.
The existing length of holy stretch is 700 Rmt. It is proposed to construct new ghat from D&i Sandwa to Talkuteshwar bridge and concreting of river bed up to bridge etc. The total length of ghat will be 2.1 Kms. Thus lbs additional ghat area Will be useful 10 accommodate and reorganise the pilgrims.
