a) Highlights of Special Works at Tapovan
      The forthcoming Kumbhamela will be the first Kumbhamela in the 21^st Century and it is expected that 2 lakh sadhus and around 60(Sixty) lakh pilgrims will come to nashik city to celebrate the occasion of Parvani days. Considering the above facts Nashik Municipal Corporation has decided to develop seperate Sadhu Camp. For this purpose approximately 200 acres of land will be acquired near Tapovan area and infrastructural facilities like road, plots, for erecting sheds and toilet blocks, water supply arrangement will be provided.

b) Widening of Roads for Shahi Procession, Development of Sevagram for various Sadhus
      The present road of Shahi Procession is very narrow. It is proposed to widen it from Sardar Chowk to Ramkund. New Shahi Procession route from Tapovan to Kannamvar Bridge and upto Gadge Maharaj Bridge is also proposed, which will meet the route of shahi procession at Sardar Chowk.

c) Mobile Toilet Blocks
      With a view to keep the area in hygienic condition, 20 Mobile Toilets will be provided near the Sadhu Camp.

d) Desilting and Cleaning of Kunda and Riverbed from Ramsetu to Talkuteshwar Mandir
      Over a period of years, due to floods and pollutants, Kundas on downstream of Ramsetu and the river bed on downstream of Modkeshwar Ghat have been heavily silted. This releases an unpleasant odour in the area. To prevent this and to deepen the river bed, cleaning and desilting of the kundas and river bed have been proposed in the plan.
